ABE classes are offered to our residents and members of the local community on-site in the Education & Employability Center. Through a partnership with Cleveland Community College’s (CCC) Learning Center, instructors work with students each morning on the third floor of the Buffalo Street Facility to prepare Rescue Mission clients and members of the local community to pass the High School Equivalency Exam offered on campus at CCC.
Through a growing partnership with Cleveland Community College’s Continuing Education department, the Education and Employ-ability Center offers Rescue Mission residents and members of the community a place to learn valuable job searching and workforce skills and on-the-job soft skills.
The “Ready to Work” program is a Cleveland County employer-endorsed credential that provides participants with essential workplace skills identified by local employers.
Other workforce development classes offered in the Career Pathways Program are: Introduction to Career Academies, Basic Computer Skills, OSHA-10 Training, Personal Finance and Interviewing.
Our Education & Employ-ability Center at the Buffalo Street facility is a CCC certified location for these and other classes and are open to Rescue Mission residents and local community members who can benefit from the proximity of the Mission.
